Key Features and Specifications
Precise Feeding: Control the release of feed with a simple switch on your vehicle's wiring loom. The spinner plate scatters feed behind the vehicle, creating a wide 14-foot spread to attract and hold birds. This not only saves time but also results in wilder birds that are better spread across your guns.
High-Capacity Hopper: The strong, weather-proof polyethylene hopper has a recommended maximum capacity of 200kg.
It's designed to flex over rough terrain and is easily filled through a hinged, waterproof lid.
Robust Construction: The galvanised steel chassis and flexible mudguards are built to last. The entire unit hooks up to a standard 50mm ball hitch.
High-Torque Motor: The feeder is powered by a UK-made 12V DC high-torque motor that runs off your vehicle's battery. It features new, uprated looms fitted with power relay switching.
Important Usage Notes:
Use clean, sieved feed only. Stones and foreign matter will damage the unit and void your warranty.
Do not use liquid-based attractants. Powder attractants like Solway Gamemaster Spice are suitable.
The standard feed rate is approximately 250g per second based on clean, dry wheat. This rate will be reduced when using pellets or a mixture.
For larger feed kernels like whole maize, a modified version is required at an additional cost. Please contact our sales department for details.
Compatibility and Maintenance
Vehicle Compatibility: The standard wiring loom fits most agricultural quad bikes. When ordering, please specify your towing vehicle (UTV, Land Rover, etc.), as a different loom may be available for an additional cost. All electrical connections must be made via a 15amp inline fuse.
Essential Maintenance: To ensure the longevity and reliability of your Trailfeeder, regular maintenance is crucial.
Wheel Bearings: Check and adjust wheel bearings after the first 12 hours of use and then at 100-hour or one-month intervals. Failure to service and adjust the bearings will void your warranty.
Tow Hitch and Swivel Coupling: Check, clean, and re-grease the tow hitch and swivel coupling weekly.
Chassis: The chassis is fully galvanized for corrosion resistance.Clean it regularly and use galvanized paint to touch up any damaged areas.
Wheels and Tyres: Regularly check wheels, tyres, and maintain pressures as outlined in the handbook.
We also stock a wide variety of spares and replacement parts, including spinner plates, motors, and wheels, to keep your unit running smoothly for years to come.
