Agrigame Replacement Stub Axle
Replacement Agrigame stub axle suitable for use on a wide range of game feeders, trailers and similar off-road equipment.
The axle features a four-hole mounting plate welded to one end, allowing straightforward installation onto a suitable chassis or mounting bracket.
Hub bolt PCD: 100mm
Supplied: Individually as one complete stub axle assembly
The hub is supplied with pre-lubricated wheel bearings. However, regular inspection, lubrication and adjustment are essential to maintain correct operation and maximise bearing life.
We recommend removing and repacking the hubs with fresh, clean grease at least every three months.
Failure to correctly service, lubricate or adjust the wheel bearings may result in premature failure.
Initial Bearing Adjustment
When the stub axle is supplied, the wheel bearings have not yet been fully run in.
After the first 12 hours of use, the wheel bearings must be inspected and adjusted.
While rotating the wheel, tighten the castle nut until a slight resistance can be felt and all bearing surfaces are correctly seated.
Then loosen the castle nut approximately 1/8 of a turn, aligning it with the nearest locking hole.
The wheel should rotate freely with approximately 0.002–0.008 inch of end float/play.
Secure the castle nut using a new split pin.
Always replace the split pin after adjustment. Failure to correctly secure the castle nut could allow the wheel and hub assembly to detach from the axle.
Apply fresh, clean grease through the fitted grease nipple where applicable, or work grease into the bearings by hand on semi-sealed bearing versions.
Do not overfill the hub with grease, as excessive grease may force the hub cap off.
After servicing, ensure the hub cap is securely refitted.
Ongoing Maintenance
The wheel bearings must be checked and adjusted again after 100 hours of use or one month, whichever occurs first.
Thereafter, the bearings should be inspected regularly for correct adjustment and lubrication.
We recommend repacking the hubs with fresh, clean grease every three months and readjusting the bearings using the procedure above.
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure safe operation and maximise the service life of the axle and bearings.
